Location


Gordonvale Golf Club is located along the Bruce Highway in the heart of the Gordonvale township some 20 minutes south of the Cairns CBD.

The Course is situated in a picturesque setting surrounded by residential areas, cane lands and a mountain backdrop which is overshadowed by the distinctively shaped Walsh's Pyramid which at 922 metres is the highest free standing peak in the world.

Gordonvale situated on the Mulgrave River has a population of approximately 7000 and is located some 24 km south of Cairns. It is the gateway to the beautiful Atherton Tablelands via the winding Gillies Highway where must see tourist attactions include Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham.

Gordonvale is a sugar town and home to the Mulgrave Central Mill Co. Ltd, a sugar mill with a history dating back to 1895. The mill crushes on average 1.2 million tonnes of cane from June to November each year to produce approximately 170,000 tonnes of raw sugar which is exported.
